Been busy….

I know its been a while since I’ve made a blog post. I’ve been busy at work as a Network Engineer and I just haven’t had the desire to sit down in front of my home PC after work lately.

Quite a bit has happened in my Disc Golf world since my last post. I played in the Bagger Doubles tournament at Floral Park with Steve Evans on July 30th. Man was it hot! Steve and I DNF’d with 6 holes to go in the second round. My energy was just sapped. Next time I’ll come more prepared food wise. Had lots of fun though and I’d do it again!

I’ve played some of my best rounds in the last couple of weeks since I started playing back in January 2011. The day after the Bagger Doubles I played handicaps at Floral and shot a 66 which is +7. Very good for me! Then, on Aug 2nd, I shot a 53, -6 (AM Pads) at Floral. This past Sunday I shot my best ever in handicaps with the club at Taylor Lake, a 64, +10, which I believe dropped my handicap to -14. Woohoo!

I feel like my game is improving at a faster pace now. I attribute this to a few tips I’ve been given by a few advanced DG’ers. Thanks! I really appreciate it! I’ve also found a driver that I really like. It’s called the Westside King.

I’m really looking forward to the Ace Race at Taylor Lake Park this coming Saturday. It’ll be my first. We’re expecting close to 144 people. It’s gonna be a blast!

DG Rocks!
